About Blooming in June
What is Blooming in June?
Blooming in June (BIJ) is a time-honored debutante development program designed to help young ladies grow into confident, socially aware leaders. Through workshops, mentoring, cultural outings, service experiences, and shared sisterhood, Tea Roses build skills that go beyond academics and into real-life readiness.

By the end of the program year, participants are equipped to carry themselves with greater honor, dignity, and respect—at home, in school, and in the community.

Ideal for students in Central Florida who are ready for a structured, supportive, and empowering program year.
How Selection Works
Tea Roses are selected through an application and interview process. Space is limited each year to ensure a meaningful experience and strong mentorship support.

Time Commitment & Participation
BIJ is a structured program. To remain in good standing, Tea Roses are expected to:

Participate in at least 85% of scheduled activities

Arrive 15 minutes early for events and sessions

Maintain respectful conduct and uphold program values

Follow attire guidelines and event expectations as provided
Parent/Guardian partnership is essential—we consider families a key part of the Tea Rose support system.
Detailed policies, schedules, and attire guidance are provided during orientation.
Program Fee & What It Includes
The BIJ program fee supports the participant experience and may include items such as:

Cotillion gown

Retreat experience (housing, meals, activities)

Program paraphernalia/materials

Workshops, activities, and event resources
Important note: Program fees are non-refundable.
Scholarship Opportunities
Tea Roses may be eligible for awards and scholarships based on participation and fundraising. Fundraising supports both scholarship opportunities and the continued impact of BIJ in the community.
Fundraising minimum: Participants are asked to raise a minimum amount to qualify for certain scholarship awards and recognition.
