Kids In Need of Desks (K.I.N.D.) is a U.N.I.C.E.F program that provides school desks and scholarships for girls' secondary education. For Malawian girls, a scholarship can mean the difference between early marriage and a chance to follow their dreams.

In Africa, learning can be juggling a notebook and pencil from one knee to the other while holding a paper and pencil in your lap. Sitting crosslegged on hard and uncomfortable dirt or cement floors can be challenging and frustrating for a child.
